Research Facilities and Resources
Oakland University is continually expanding its offerings of research facilities and resources. Facilities include wet labs, dry labs, engineering labs, computer labs, exercise science labs, and other specialized facilities. Resources include multiple instrument suites (high performance computing, microscopy, etc.). Resources also include services and other specific support activities. Facilities
In addition to main campus laboratories, which are primarily located in Dodge Hall, Hannah Hall, The Mathematics and Science Center, the Engineering Center, and the Human Health Building, Oakland University has off campus research facilities. These include:
- East Campus – LORACS, the Laboratory for Outdoor Research, Agriculture, Conservation, and Sustainability
- West Campus – 1500 University Drive, which houses Artificial Intelligence and Psychology labs.
- Innovation and Research Center for SECS, 2871 Research Drive, Rochester Hills, which houses mechanical, electrical, industrial, and computer science labs and in the hub for research conducted in partnership with industry.
Resources
Oakland University offers a number of services and shared-equipment resources for research, including:
- High Performance Computing Cluster (HPC)
- Advanced Research Methodology Services (ARMS)
- Specialized Research Equipment (more info to come)
